The United Way Workplace Giving Campaign
The United Way Workplace Giving Campaign is an annual event where Assurant Health employees come together to raise money for their local United Way chapters and affiliate charities. Employees participate in fundraising activities to increase donations to the United Way, reinforce community spirit and help fulfill the nonprofit organization's goal of advancing the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all.
In 2012, Assurant Health’s United Way Workplace Giving Campaign raised nearly $186,000. Annual campaigns run for two weeks and money is raised through online donations, activities and a monetary gift from the Assurant Foundation.
Assurant Health also participates in annual United Way Days of Caring events. During this week-long volunteer engagement, Assurant Health employees are connected to United Way agency program partners and local nonprofit organizations.
