Milwaukee – January 3, 2008 – Assurant Health, a Milwaukee, WI-based national provider of individual medical, small group and specialty health insurance products, announced today it entered into an agreement that gives its customers access to Great-West Healthcare’s national network of hospitals and physicians.
Under the agreement Assurant Health will offer its PPO product with the Great-West Healthcare network, which will expand access to medical facilities in markets that include: Phoenix, Arizona; rural Colorado; Denver, Colorado; Jacksonville, Florida; Orlando, Florida; metro and rural Tampa, Florida; Kansas City, Missouri; Las Vegas, Nevada and Austin, Texas. Assurant Health customers enrolled in the Great-West Healthcare network will have access to Great-West Healthcare’s more than 4,275 hospitals and 578,000 physician and ancillary providers. The agreement is effective for Small Group on January 1, 2008 and for Individual Medical on February 1, 2008.
