These affordable plans pay cash directly to consumers and are not subject to deductibles, co-insurance or coordination of benefits with any other insurance products. The Critical Illness plan covers 15 life-threatening illnesses with the benefit paid upon diagnosis, regardless of the doctors, hospitals or choice of treatment. The Accident plan provides benefits for each covered injury and service, including follow-up treatment, physical therapy and prosthetics.

The Accident plan is available in 14 states, and the Critical Illness plan is available in 11. Assurant Health plans to expand the availability of supplemental products in the coming months and will begin adding to this line in September, when it launches a new Dental plan.
