Heather McAvoy has been promoted to Vice President—Communications. In her new role, McAvoy will continue to oversee Assurant Health’s internal and external communication functions, while taking on oversight of the company’s sales conference planning, community relations and charitable giving programs. McAvoy graduated from Creighton University with a bachelor’s degree in both organizational communication and psychology. She also received her master’s degree in communication from Marquette University.
