Milwaukee, March 12, 2012 - Milwaukee-based Assurant Health, a national provider of major medical, fixed-benefit and supplemental health insurance products, announces several recent leadership promotions within its Information Technology (IT) department. These promotions are part of a broader organizational realignment designed to strengthen Assurant Health’s ability to deliver affordable health care options to customers.
Manish Chawla, 41, has been promoted to vice president of data architecture from IT director of solution delivery. Chawla will be responsible for the company’s Data, Architecture and Compliance areas, to enable better governance and integration with the business and to develop IT systems strategy.
Steve Hannan, 39, has been promoted to vice president of IT business solutions. In his new role, Hannan will lead Assurant Health’s information technology project portfolio process and delivery. Hannan most recently served as IT director.
Dan Mishich, 41, has been promoted to director of information technology and will oversee the Mainframe Center of Excellence for Claims and Solution Governance. Prior to his promotion, Mishich served as manager of solution delivery for the Mainframe Center of Excellence—Claims.
Brad Pokorny, 43, has been promoted to director of data strategy execution. In his new position, Pokorny will lead strategic IT delivery, support, architecture and relationship management functions. Previously, Pokorny served as manager of application management, customer service, document/imaging and work management at Assurant Health.
