Executive Biographies

Adam Lamnin
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Lamnin became President and Chief Executive Officer of Assurant Health in January 2011. An 18-year, specialty insurance executive, Mr. Lamnin previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Before his move to Assurant Health, Mr. Lamnin rose to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Assurant Solutions and Assurant Specialty Property. He also headed the mortgage services, sales finance and consumer finance business units for American Bankers prior to its acquisition by Fortis. Prior to joining the Assurant family of companies, Mr. Lamnin was a senior accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Lamnin is a CPA. He attended the University of Florida where he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting.


Scott Krienke
Senior Vice President, Product and Marketing

Mr. Krienke oversees Assurant Health’s product and marketing functions, guiding the development and growth of the company’s product lines. Mr. Krienke joined the company in 1984 and has previously served as Vice President, Human Resources as well as Vice President, Claims and Customer Service. Mr. Krienke led the development of the Medical Savings Account and Health Savings Account Products, the first of its type to be marketed in the U.S. Prior to joining Assurant Health, he worked for Northwestern National Insurance Company.

Mr. Krienke holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Marquette University and holds the FLMI and ALHC designations. Mr. Krienke is on the Board of Pathfinders.


Mike Norderhaug
Senior Vice President and Executive Sales Officer

In his role as Senior Vice President and Executive Sales Officer, Mr. Norderhaug oversees all of Assurant Health's agent distribution channels and sales management functions. Over the past 17 years, Mr. Norderhaug has held various sales executive roles at Assurant Health, including Regional Sales Vice President, where he oversaw the company’s Regional Sales Manager and the Managing General Agent distribution channels. Prior to joining Assurant Health, he spent 13 years at Lutheran Brotherhood.

Mr. Norderhaug has earned the insurance industry designations, CLU and ChFC.
