Jennifer Kopps-Wagner is executive vice president, chief operating officer, Assurant Health. Previously, she served as senior vice president, general counsel for Assurant Health and chief of strategy for Assurant Health and Assurant Employee Benefits.

Ms. Kopps-Wagner joined the company in 1999 and has held a series of positions within the Legal Department of Assurant Health, helping to identify and drive legal and compliance issues for the business. As vice president – Legal, she provided legal support and counsel for the product lines and operations areas, and played a key role in several Individual Medical product launches and initiatives. For several years, Ms. Kopps-Wagner and her team have made significant contributions in helping Assurant Health understand and implement the many changes brought about by health care reform legislation.

Ms. Kopps-Wagner received her Bachelor’s degree from Alverno College in Milwaukee and her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. In recognition of her outstanding achievement in the practice of law, she was named one of Wisconsin Law Journal's 2011 Women in the Law.

Assurant Health has been providing nonprofit organizations with financial and volunteer support to help improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work since 1973.


The company also provides an employee matching gifts program, which provides all eligible U.S. Assurant employees the opportunity to request a dollar-for-dollar match ($25 to $1,000 per gift, per calendar year) for their personal contributions to qualifying charitable organizations. Assurant Health employees also receive up to eight hours of paid time off to volunteer for charitable causes.
